Case Study
A few days ago I received a call from a potential client who was very frustrated with his wardrobe. He said he desperately needed help because he recently moved into a smaller NYC apartment and he had too many clothes. In less than 3 hours I was able to reorganize and de-clutter his closet, in addition to helping him edit out clothes that needed to be discarded. Read more below:
Situation:
Bill is a 31 year old bank manager. He still has a lot of the clothes he wore in college because of sentimental attachment, even though they no longer fit due to weight gain. Bill also wants to evolve his look from the southern fraternity boy, to an urban preppy professional with class and sophistication.

Solution:
I recommend two services for Bill: 1. the Image Assessment and 2. the Wardrobe Assessment. I met with Bill at his Chelsea apartment where we spent about 30 minutes completing the image assessment (this normally takes 60 minutes) and then we quickly moved on to the wardrobe assessment. During the wardrobe assessment I helped Bill get more organized by giving him a system to follow. I re-allocated the closet space so that one side was used for work clothes and the other side for casual clothes. I also coordinated the garment types to hanger colors (e.g., long sleeve casual shirts on white hangers). I noticed that Bill was not effectively using the space above his hanging clothes, so I used that space for sweaters and jeans or casual pants like chinos and corduroys. By eliminating items that were too small and out-dated, Bill discovered that he actually had ample space in his apartment. Stay tuned to see what I work on next with Bill…
